Again Iago incites more paranoia from Othello, purposefully putting Othello into a situation where he would catch a glimpse of Cassio and Desdemona “secretly” meeting.
Chaos Will Come Again?
Othello says that chaos will come again if he ever stops loving Desdemona. This was after her trying to convince him to allow Cassio back his job.
Uncertain Vocabulary
Iago uses words such as “I think” and “seems” in order to feign uncertainty, as if he does not know that Cassio is trustworthy or not. These uncertain words incite more sparks of doubt in Othello.
5 Manipulations
Iago manipulates Othello by first asking if Desdemona and Cassio were friends, then backing off when Othello asks why. He specifically uses certain words to spark doubt in Othello's mind, and when Othello presses the issue, he avoids answering. He acts suspicious to make Othello worry more. Iago tells Othello not to worry as it will only make things worse, but that just made Othello do the opposite.
Insecurity
Othello is insecure because Desdemona is beautiful, kind. And he believes he is undeserving of her love.
Memento
It is special handkerchief which Othello gifted upon Desdemona. The gift was an important possession of his, the only remaining memento of his deceased mother.
Jealousy, Cruel Jealousy
According to Iago, the worst thing about jealousy is how when having fallen prey to it, it consumes your every waking moment and fills you with anxiety and anger. He hoped that it would keep Othello up at night.

Scene 3, Iago is refusing to outright tell Othello more evidence, Othello presses the issue. Iago warns Othello of jealousy, even though he is trying to bring it out of him. He compares it to a monster which consumes the people who experience it. It is significant for the rest of the play because this is EXACTLY what happens with Othello.
And, for I know thou’rt full of love and honesty,
And weigh’st thy words before thou giv’st them breath
Othello continues to press Iago in act 3, asking Iago to tell him what he was thinking. He replies with something along the lines of "You know I'm your friend." Then Othello speaks highly of Iago, believing that he truly has good intentions and is his best friend. The quote has a great effect over the whole play, because othello believes Iago’s lies all the way to the very end, when the truth was revealed.
Villain, be sure thou prove my love a whore!
Be sure of it; give me the ocular proof;
Or, by the worth of mine eternal soul,
Thou hadst been better have been born a dog
Than answer my waked wrath!
In act 3, Iago finally told Othello what he "knew", which made Othello incredibly miserable and distressed. Othello then speaks to Iago, threatening him that if he is not being 100% honest, and does not bring Othello real, solid proof, Othello will make him wish he was born a dog. It is an important quote because Othello nearly catches on to Iago’s tricks, but then Iago quickly gets himself out of it.

Othello praising Dessie after she asks him to allow Cassio to return, when he the quote means that he loves her so much, and if he were to stop, everything would be in chaos. It is relevant to the entire play because as soon as he stops trusting her, 3 people end up dead.
